Minutes of the Preparatory Meeting of Nepal Fair 2008-London
The preparatory meeting to organize the Nepal Fair 2008 in London held at the Embassy of Nepal, 12A Kensington Palace Gardens from 18:30-20:00 hrs on 14 May 2008. This was a continuation of very preliminary meeting of 02 May 2008. The meeting was attended by 27 people from different Nepali organizations in the UK and British friends of Nepal in addition to the Embassy officials.

Proceeding:
A short agenda was distributed to the participants highlighting the objectives and proposed plans of event of Nepal Fair 2008. Ambassador and Minister Counsellor elaborated on it with core objectives of promoting Nepal in the United Kingdom specifically with respect to investment, trade, tourism, Nepali food, fashion and culture and then invited suggestions and comments from the floor. Considering the views, ideas, comments and suggestions the flowing decisions were made through consensus:

Venue: Limkokwing University, 106 Piccadilly, London which was generously provided as a goodwill gesture and courtesy accepting the request of the Embassy of Nepal by the University. Mr. Amol Gurung working in the University said that a formal official request might require for final approval from its administration.
Date: 21 and 22 September 2008 (Sunday and Monday)
Time: 1000 hrs to 1900 hrs both day (precise programme to be made soon)

Venue Observation: The meeting also decided to meet at 15:00 hrs on 19 May 2008 by the committee members at the agreed venue to observe it and further discuss on concretising the programme details of the two-day fair.
Resource Generation: The organizing committee will devise appropriate mechanism to generate resources to meet the costs of activities related expenses.
Responsibility of Logistical Support: Respective individuals and organizations shall be responsible for carrying activity/fair related goods, materials and equipment to and from the venue.
Fair a Regular Feature: The meeting also agreed to make such a fair a regular annual feature in future.
Focal Point: Embassy of Nepal in London can be a focal point for such fairs as partner of other specialized organizations and individuals but not a sponsor.
